Last week the long awaited first trailer for Game of Thrones Season 7 finally arrived, blowing up the internet like wildifre underneath the Sept of Baelor.

Plunging viewers right back into the world of ice and fire, it featured most of the main players - Bronn and Podrick were sadly absent, but we did get Cersei, Jon, Daenerys, Tyrion et al - and showcased a lot of thrilling action.

There was a lot to simply sit and marvel at, such as the epic end-shot of Drogon flying into battle, and plenty to ponder over as well - just what was Arya looking for under the bed?

It was a great tease, which built excitement - not that it takes much at this stage - and intrigue in equal measure. Crucially, though, it didn't give an awful lot away. It left us with more questions than it gave answers, and hinted at plot details without spoiling things.

As with any year of Thrones, though, plenty of rumours have been swirling around regarding the plot: from Jim Broadbent's Archmaester to Cersei making some unholy alliances. The trailer doesn't address these, but there are still a lot it does seemingly confirm (warning: this does touch on some spoilerific points).
