Game Of Thrones Season 7: 7 Things You Might've Missed In 'The Queen's Justice'
Cersei goes full Mad King, while the Ned Stark references keep on coming.
Game of Thrones Season 7 really moved up a gear this week with episode 3, The Queen's Justice.
After a couple of more typical early season setup episodes, this was the one where sparks really started to fly, giving us the clearest example yet of the accelerated pace the show is now working at as it approaches the end.
Jon met Daenerys, and - after some reluctance - she agreed to let him mine for dragonglass; Cersei took revenge on the woman who murdered her daughter; Bran returned to Winterfell, and creeped out his sister (and us); Casterly Rock and Highgarden both fell; and Lady Olenna died, but not before confessing to Joffrey's murder - and that's not even a complete list of everything that happened in this episode.
With all that going on, there was once again a host of Easter eggs and references that might've gone unnoticed during the best hour of Season 7 so far. Tyrion was back to quoting wise men, Melisandre foreshadowed Varys' death, the show drew attention to the fact Jaime has Widow's Wail (something first noticed in the promo images), the Rains of Castermere wept o'er the halls, and many more details besides were hidden within The Queen's Justice.
