9. Davos Seaworth
Davos Seaworth has been a loyal servant since his debut in Season 2, and is many people’s favourites of the secondary characters; no doubt aided by his fantastic chapters in the original novels.
First he was an able right-hand man to Stannis (even without his fingers), prepared to be imprisoned and even executed for his loyalty when he feared Melisandre was corrupting him. Since Stannis’ death he has become Jon Snow’s most trusted advisor, even if he doesn’t quite understand the pomp and ceremony the way Tyrion and Missandei do.
However, he’s said many times that he’s not much of a fighter, and Jon is likely to lead him into many a battle in the final season. A man so loyal as Davos is unlikely to drift to where the fighting is thinnest in the interests of self preservation; this attitude could land him in mortal danger.
There aren’t many ‘good’ characters in the show; most exist in a shade of grey. However, Davos is one of the closest to being a truly good man, and he might just suffer a heartbreaking end because of it.
