11. Is That The Last We've Seen Of All These Characters?
This episode finds us seemingly bidding farewell to a number of Game of Thrones characters: Tormund is ready to lead the Free Folk back beyond the Wall, with Ghost for company now too. Gendry is off to become Lord of Storm’s End, while it seems like Sam and Gilly will likely head for Horn Hill.

These characters have all, in one way or another, made an impact on the story, with Sam particularly important since the early days, especially combined with his Citadel training. It feels almost strange that they'd leave like this without some bigger wrap-up, but is that simply part of ending a story this massive, or is there more to come from these characters?
