15. Bronn Was Pointless

Why was Bronn even in this season?

His story was over many seasons ago, but the show kept bringing him back because he’s a fan-favorite character. He hasn’t really had much of a reason to stick around, and season 8 was his most pointless appearance yet.

In the premiere, he was tasked by Cersei to kill Tyrion and Jaime with the crossbow that Tyrion used to kill his father. Three episodes later, he casually walks into Winterfell ready to kill them…and then he doesn’t.

Even more baffling is that, later in that same episode, Cersei doesn’t have Tyrion killed at the gates of King’s Landing because apparently she just forgot that she wanted her brothers dead. Happens to the best of us.

Bronn’s plotline was ultimately a waste, and if he was left out of the season entirely, it wouldn’t have made a damn bit of difference.
