Game Of Thrones Season 8: 7 Ups And 3 Downs From 'The Last Of The Starks'
1. Cersei Lannister
This was Cersei Lannister's 'comeback' episode of sorts, insofar as she hadn't appeared for a couple of instalments and had mostly been out of the picture in Season 8.
She's not in this episode a HUGE amount either, but she doesn't need to be to make her presence felt. It's yet another reminder of just how f**king incredible Lena Headey is, and how much she can do and portray with little screentime or dialogue.
From a plot point, it makes sense that they'd have to tear Daenerys down somewhat, because with two dragons Cersei couldn't beat her. But it works better from a character point of Cersei refusing to yield (as if she was ever going to, despite Tyrion's misguided belief in her and Qyburn). Cersei completely flips the tables, she keeps Euron loyal to her, and she does it all without saying much. But that look on her face when she gives the order and watches it happen is all we need. Welcome back, Cersei.
