The end of Game of Thrones is almost upon us. In just a few weeks the show will return for its eighth and final season, where we're going to see the battle that's been teased since the very beginning: the army of the living vs the army of the dead.

The White Walkers have broken through the Wall, and are now marching on Westeros, intent on blazing (or rather, freezing) a trail across the land. Jon and Daenerys are leading the fight back, which is set to result in at least one epic clash, the Battle of Winterfell, but there are other factors at play beyond just who has the biggest army and who are the best warriors.

This isn't a battle that's simply going to be won by boots on the ground, but also beasts in the sky. Dany has two dragons, and the Night King has one. In this clash of ice and fire, that's going to be extremely important, and if they can take the Night King's dragon away from him, then the balance of power is going to significantly shift.

Enter Bran Stark.

Bran is now the Three-Eyed Raven, and is perhaps the most powerful (living) person in Westeros. Bran should play a pivotal part in the endgame, and what could be bigger - or more awesome - than seeing him wrest control of Viserion away from the Night King and using the undead dragon against the undead themselves?
