A fortune-teller from her childhood, Maggy makes a series of predictions for Cersei's future that may help to explain some of her paranoia regarding Margaery Tyrell as well as her questionable judgment regarding her children. Whether Maggy's prophecies will justify Cersei's past behaviour will remain to be seen, but her appearance in only a single episode of Season 5 promises to carry a lasting influence on the show and one of its more complicated characters. Oh, and for those wondering at the fortuneteller's peculiar name? "Maggy" is the butchered pronunciation of "maegi." If Daenerys' experiences with maegi over the years are any indication, Maggy's predictions will not have had a positive effect on the Queen Regent over the years.
