When Jaime said last episode that fighting with his left hand made for more of a contest, what he didnt reveal was that hed be the one losing that contest. Frustrated at his lack of coordination without his sword hand, he is encouraged by Tyrion to put more effort in practicing with his left hand. T heres only one problem: Jaime needs someone to train with, and he cant face humiliation in front of the other knights. Fortunately, Tyrion has the perfect, discreet training partner for him: Bronn. Meeting up at a hidden area by the sea (where Bronn also happens to sleep with another knights wife), they begin their training, and right at from the start, we can see Jaime has a difficult road ahead. Its obvious that Jaime is never going to be as great a swordsman as he was pre-amputation, but at least now hes putting in the work towards improving his skills. Having Bronn as Jaimes training partner is an interesting switch from the book (where Jaime trailed with Illyn Payne, the mute executioner), but its ingenious nonetheless. Bronn may have been knighted, but hes still a sellsword at heart. As long as someones paying him, hell do whatever they ask of him. Jaime just needs to keep those bags of Lannister gold ready, and Bronn wont spill his secret to anyone.
