Game Of Thrones Season 4 Trailer: 10 Things We Learned

9. Bran's Powers Increase

Bran and his little commando team have managed to sneak through the wall and are now heading north. I suspect we will be introduced to Coldhands almost immediately, as I don't see how otherwise the crack squad which mostly comprises of Hodor and some children could get past an army of a hundred thousand wildlings. But Bran's powers are increasing €“ after all, he's heading north to find the three eyed crow and Coldhands is quite key to finding it. In this very brief scene, you can see Bran reaching forward to touch a tree €“ potentially this could be him attempting to communicate with a weirwood for the first time. Although considering the episodes filmed thus far, I doubt that this is under the guidance of the Last Greenseer, as I'm sure it'll take several episodes for Bran, Hodor and co to get to his cave. Bran's travel story was brought forward a fair bit in the storyline, but it seems to have been a very wise choice in retrospect. If they hadn't started the story when they did, then the trip that Bran took would have been very truncated. But because of the additional episodes devoted to it, we can fully see the effect it has on him. Season four should see the introduction of the Last Greenseer, but probably midseason so we can see Bran beginning to learn from him during the course of this season. Alternatively, he could meet him toward the end so the training takes place in season five.
