Gotham: Ranking The Villains From Worst To Best

9. Black Mask

Almost as ridiculous as Salvatore Maroni is Gotham's take on the villainous Black Mask, referred to in the show by his actual name of Roman Sionis. The show's introduction of the super villain involves him forcing job applicants to compete for positions in his firm by fighting to the death in abandoned office buildings. This is a colorful enough story, albeit one that would have probably played out far better in Batman: The Animated Series. However, Gotham didn't think to quit while it was ahead. Instead of just having Sionis function as a sideline villain, the show actually features him letting his inner-lunatic loose, donning an outrageous mask, and hopping into the fray like some sort of demon (with what looks like too much nose hair). The result is pretty much what you might expect. It's not scary. It's not even absurd. It's just pathetic.
