Gotham Season 5: 4 Major Questions After 'Penguin, Our Hero'
4. Will Bruce Be Able To Curb Selina's Dark Side?
While much of Penguin, Our Hero centred around Gordon and Penguin's feud, the episode's sub-arc was every bit as compelling, as Selina Kyle prowled the city in a brand new cat suit, with gloves reminiscent of Julie Newmar's infamous Catwoman claws.
Since regaining the ability to walk, the young Catwoman has become hellbent on tracking down the villainous Jeremiah Valeska, so that she may exact revenge on him for what he did. With Bruce by her side, she ventured into the city's most dangerous territories, but her companion soon became worried when she started exhibiting violent traits.
Last week's episode left viewers wondering if Ivy's root cure had altered Selina's personality in any way, and it appears as if this is the case after all. Despite Bruce's objections, Selina refused to curb her ways. Ultimately, she handcuffed her former flame to a railing to prevent him from getting in her way. With Selina - and her newfound wild streak - roaming free, will Bruce be able to cut himself loose before she makes a life-changing mistake?
It's possible that, with Gotham's end in sight, we could see Selina carry on down this dark path, which would allow for the character to embrace more of the villainous elements of Catwoman - which is something we've yet to really see on Gotham.
