Gotham Season 5: 5 Major Questions We Have After '13 Stitches'
5. What Is Walker's Motivation In Destroying Gotham?
During Pena Dura, we learned that Eduardo Dorrance had been working for a woman named Walker. At the time, we knew next to nothing about her, but it was pretty obvious that she was powerful, and that her intentions weren't good in regards to her plan for Gotham City.
In 13 Stitches, we were enlightened - just a little, mind - as we caught our first glimpse of the villainess. Yes, Walker showed up to save her confidante, Eduardo, from impending death, after Gordon inadvertently impaled the military-trained operative in his attempts to save Lee.
Walker informed Eduardo that his work was not yet done, and that she'd have Doctor Hugo Strange fix him. Sounds ominous, right?
Well, viewers have already been made aware of the fact that Eduardo is set to become Gotham's iteration of Batman character Bane, and the mask that Walker put on the soldier was eerily reminiscent to that of Tom Hardy's in The Dark Knight Rises. Strange's plan will likely involve pumping toxins into Eduardo's bloodstream, which will aid in him becoming the iconic comic character.
With Bane on his way to Gotham, the big question here is what Walker will have him do on her behalf? Tracking down - and killing - Jim Gordon will likely be on her agenda, but what exactly does she want to accomplish by terrorising Gotham city?
