Hannibal: 6 Reasons It Should Come Back (And 4 Reasons It Shouldn't)
10. Bryan Fuller Knows What He's Doing
Throughout Hannibal's initial three-season run, the show's developer, Bryan Fuller, put his incredible amount of creative talent and competence on full display. He had some genuinely brilliant ideas and a perfect understanding and love for the source material, in addition to being a brilliant writer who was more than capable of making those two things work together seamlessly.
As a result of his leadership, Hannibal has easily become one of the single greatest television shows in recent memory and arguably of all time. You don't create a show that gets as much unanimous critical praise as Hannibal did without being immensely talented.
Moreover, Hannibal was anything but a one hit wonder for Fuller. He's shown promise from the very beginning via his work on Star Trek, and he's only improved from there. Besides Hannibal, Fuller led the charge for American Gods, Dead Like Me, Pushing Daisies, and Wonderfalls, all great television shows that have received overwhelmingly positive reviews.
While there are many issues along the road that may make moving forward with Hannibal difficult, if there's anyone that has the potential, drive and wherewithal to make it work, it's Bryan Fuller.
