Harry Potter: 10 Book Moments Every Fan Wants In A TV Adaptation

2. Lord Voldemort’s Request – The Half-Blood Prince

Harry and Dumbledore take many trips into the Pensieve during The Half-Blood Prince, and whilst many of the most important moments have already been adapted, there’s one particular memory fans would love to see.

Several years after graduating from Hogwarts, a young Voldemort returns to Hogwarts and asks Dumbledore if he can teach Defence Against the Dark Arts. But due to the dark reputation Voldemort has already obtained, Dumbledore refuses.

Again, it’s the dialogue between these characters that makes this scene so great. Dumbledore and Voldemort discuss their very first meeting, the Death Eaters, career prospects, and even magical philosophy whilst in the Headmaster’s study.

Though the storyline in The Half-Blood Prince would still make sense without this moment, Voldemort's time as a young man was never shown in the movies, and as such, it would be a standout moment if made for television.
