There's going to be plenty of sex and drugs in the series, as you might expect from HBO, Winter, and Scorsese, which makes sense given its setting: expect plenty of coke-snorting in this one. Staying true to the era and the feel of the show, though, there'll also be lots of music and locations that are very much intertwined with the time. Filming for the series took place at the likes of the Chelsea Hotel (famous for housing a number of writers, musicians, and artists, but notorious for being the place Nancy Spungen was found dead), Jimi Hendrix's Electric Lady Studios, and a meticulous recreation of Max's Kansas City, the Andy Warhol hangout frequented by bands such as The Velvet underground. Music will understandably play a big part in the series, and you can expect plenty of rock, punk, and disco, while there will be appearances from some very familiar names (well, actors playing them at least) including Robert Plant, Lou Reed, and even Elvis Presley.
