4. Give Us A True Heroes-Style Take On Classic Superhero Stories

Heroes may have already given us its own take on superhero origins, translating it to the screen in a believable way. What about a homage to some of the bigger, most iconic superheroes committed to comic and screen? A hero physically altered by a genetic accident? A hero motivated by the death of his (or her) parents or a close family member. Better still, what about a hero that doesn't have powers but has found their way into this world in some fashion or another. A Heroes style Batman, Iron Man or Green Arrow if you will. Or what about a homage to some classic superhero stories? Rights permitting, there are many ways the show can take inspiration from the great superhero tales. I've already touched upon season one's 'Five Years Gone' having a 'Days Of Future Past' vibe to it...what about something else to really engage the viewers? The truth is, with films like The Avengers and The Dark Knight and TV shows like Arrow, superheroes are still big property and maybe it is the perfect time for Heroes to return. Its own tribute to the genre it is inspired from could be a great thing indeed.
