6. Cathy Takes The Fall

Catherine Durant is ready to testify, which puts Francis and his political future in serious jeopardy - even more so than it was already.

Frank invites her to the White House hoping to talk her round, but when it's clear she can't be swayed he resorts to far more drastic measures. Allowing Cathy to walk ahead of him, he shoves her down the stares without even batting an eyelid.

It's a sharp shock, and a reminder of just how dangerous Frank is when his back is against the wall. Meanwhile we're left wondering just how bad a state the Secretary is in.
