20. Ashley Williams - Victoria

Played by Ashley Williams, Victoria was a romantic interest for Ted on a handful of occasions throughout the show, deemed his best girlfriend of the lot. Given how her role was quite minor, though, it's quite surprising to learn that she was also a backup Mother had CBS cancelled How I Met Your Mother after a mere two seasons.

Ever since her last appearance on the show in 2014, Ashley hasn't reached quite the same heights. She's credited in 23 episodes of The Jim Gaffigan Show, where she played the titular character's wife Jeannie, which has been her only regular television role since HIMYM came to an end.

A number of festive straight-to-TV movies have filled out her acting CV, including a yearly role as Allie Shaw in the Christmas In Evergreen film series between 2017 and 2020. The 2020 Netflix true crime story, Chris Watts: Confessions Of A Killer, saw her play Chris' husband Shanann to perfection.

At the time of writing, Williams is also set for a role in yet another Christmas-themed film - parts one and two of Christmas At The Madison, with her real-life sister Kimberly Williams-Paisley joining her for the planned 2021 release.
