6. The Distractingly Blatant Product Placement

It's not particularly surprising that Iron Fist features product placement, but it did it need to be quite so insultingly blatant?

The series' second episode features an hilariously shameless plot point revolving around M&Ms that's surely one of the most egregious product placements in recent TV history. Unfortunately, though, that's just the tip of the iceberg.

There are also eye-rollingly abundant placements for Hyundai cars, iPhone, Everlast martial arts gear and Pepsi, all of which further emphasise the feeling that making a compelling show wasn't the foremost concern here.

If the M&Ms bit was a little more self-aware and self-deprecating it might've been tolerable, but instead it's played completely straight-faced. Gross.
