Iron Fist Season 2: 17 WTF Moments

9. Convenient Rain Is Convenient

Surely the most infuriating and contrived plot development in the season occurs in the show's sixth episode, when Walker and Danny have Davos dead to rights, meaning they can begin the ritual of transference and restore Danny's powers.

At that moment, though, the rain begins to pour, triggering Walker's personality switching to Mary, who of course has no recollection of anything that just happened. Danny desperately pleads with Mary to bring Walker back and tell Misty and Colleen that Davos is captured, but she simply walks off, foiling the plan.

Even accepting the undeniable silliness of the weather-related trigger for Typhoid Mary's personalities, this just felt incredibly convoluted and convenient. Sure, it rains a lot in New York, but this still seemed like deus ex machina plotting at its most eye-rollingly transparent.
