It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia: 10 Most Offensive Episodes
It might be sunny, but it's never politically correct.
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia was once aptly described as "Seinfeld on crack", and truer words were never spoken.
Most fans of the show probably want nothing more than to purchase their own set of kitten mittens, roast their own rum ham or actually be part of a group where insulting each other every second of the day is actually just part of the norm. However, some of those with a weaker disposition for satire may not feel the same about It's Always Sunny.
On their quests to understand the modern day world and establish their place in it, the gang have managed to offend almost every kind of person on earth, and probably a few animals and religious deities as well.
So, if even The Nightman Cometh couldn't persuade you to forgive It's Always Sunny of it's rather risque sense of humour, you're probably an extremely dull person and should definitely look away now. In fact, just go. Get out!
SALT THE SNAIL!
10. The D.E.N.N.I.S System
Season 5, Episode 10
Best Quote: Dennis: "Wrong! Wrong! Wrong! Wrong! You were supposed to let her get stabbed, hope that it hits a major artery, and then as she's dying you nurse her back to health, thereby making her totally dependent on you."
The D.E.N.N.I.S system is probably the most misogynistic, sexist and creepy way of engaging women that has ever been invented. Dennis reveals that he has a 'foolproof' way of making women fall in love with him before subsequently break their hearts.
The episode focuses around this and the gangs attempts at trying their hand at the D.E.N.N.I.S system in their own unique ways.
This is one of the most offensive episodes towards women, as it suggests that any woman can be manipulated by any man at any time, by simply following a few steps dictated by a narcissistic sociopath. The gang end up taking advice such as allowing organised stabbings and making terrifying phone calls to their prospective partners in order to sleep with them and then leave them heartbroken. Sound familiar anyone? If so, you've been D.E.N.N.I.S'ed.
