It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia: 10 Most Offensive Episodes

9. Charlie's Mom Has Cancer

Always Sunny In Philadelphia
FX

Season 8, Episode 6

Best Quote: Charlies Mom reading a script he wrote: "Give me money. Money me. Money now. Me a money needing a lot now."

Charlie, Mac and Dennis go on a journey to find the best way to help Charlies Mom after she tells him she has cancer, but Charlie starts to think that most paths lead to a scam.

The gang manage to offend herbalists, psychics and the religious all in one episode as they attempt to find help for Mrs Kelly. The episode comes to an offensive head when the gang decide to put Charlie's mother in a bald wig to make her look more cancer stricken, only for her to reveal that she made the whole thing up.

The constant jibes at the religious, those who believe in alternative medicine and even in charity fundraisers make this one of the most cringe-worthy episodes of the show, and anyone who may have been affected by cancer in real life may not see the Sunny side to chemotherapy and facial lesions.
