Having already realised one fanboy dream by directing this week's episode of The Flash, The Runaway Dinosaur,Kevin Smith is looking to extend his work to the Scarlet Speedster's parent show, Arrow.

Smith already has history with the Green Arrow, having written two comic runs back in the early-00s - Quiver and The Sounds of Violence - both of which were well-received. And although he didn't write his episode of The Flash, he told Variety that he would like to pen an episode of Arrow, and bring one of his own creations along with him:

"I would love to jump in for a one or two episode arc just to bring that Onomatopoeia character to life. That would be so badass €“ I created this character in the comics and then to do a live-action version of it that fit into their universe, fit into the run of their show? That would be exciting to me."

Onomatopoeia is one of the Green Arrow's villains yet to appear on the series, and as a martial artist and weapons expert he would certainly fit into the TV show as a nemesis for Oliver Queen for at least one episode.

As for The Flash, Smith is already confirmed to be directing another episode in Season 3, unfortunately however he still isn't keen on writing it himself, saying:

"the one I can get my head around writing, but Flash, whenever they bring me back, I think I prefer somebody else doing it. I heard rumour that when I go back, I think Zack might be writing my script again, which would be amazing."

While it'd be great to see Smith write an episode - directing his own script is where is real successes have come from - there's no denying that his partnership with Stentz worked on The Runaway Dinosaur, so it'll be fun to see how that comes together again.
