15. Doomsday

Infamous Superman villain Doomsday is clearly being set up for a significant role in the upcoming second season of Krypton. In season one, however, he was quite literally kept on ice.

Revealed as a secret weapon created by the ancestors of the Els and Zods, Doomsday resides in a cryogenic chamber, which is being guarded by an ancient underground society who have vowed to never allow the monster's escape. The prehistoric Kryptonian is later used to play up the desperation of the Zods as Brainiac's siege on Kandor begins.

Ultimately, however, the chamber is exactly where he stays up until the very end of the season finale, when he manages to break out just before the credits roll.

There are surely big things to come for Doomsday, but he was really nothing more than a plot device this season.
