5. Loki Was D.B. Cooper??

We begin with something that was actually revealed in the promotional footage prior to Loki's release:

One of the most infamous unsolved mysteries in history - D.B. Cooper hijacked a plane in 1971 and was never seen again, getting away with 200,000 dollars.

In the opening episode of the third MCU Disney+ series, it is revealed that the mysterious plane hijacker was actually the God of Mischief himself. He claims that he was forced to do it, as he "lost a bet to Thor" when he was young.

This reference serves as a nod to the still-unsolved case and reinforces the knowledge that the Asgardians have been around for a lot longer than most of the heroes we have met in the MCU.
