Making A Murderer is one of Netflix's biggest ever hits: the 10-part documentary debuted on the streaming service at the end of 2015 and became a cultural phenomenon, with viewers across the globe hotly debating and theorising over the cases of Steven Avery and Brendan Dassey.

Filmed over 10-years, it explored the story of Avery, a man who was released from prison after 18-years thanks to new DNA evidence, only to be arrested and reincarcerated for a different murder. The story and its presentation gained infamy, with numerous claims of evidence being left out, and it was announced back in 2016 that Netflix would be making a second season, which is now finally upon us.

Making A Murderer will return to Netflix for 10 new episodes on October 19. As per the synopsis:

"Filmmakers Laura Ricciardi and Moira Demos return to the Midwest where they have exclusive access to Steven Avery and his co-defendant and nephew Brendan Dassey, their families and the legal teams fighting for justice on their behalf. Over the course of 10 new episodes, Making A Murderer Part 2 provides an in-depth look at the high-stakes postconviction process, exploring the emotional toll the process takes on all involved."

Along with that, there's also Avery's new lawyer Kathleen Zellner, who was hired after the show debuted and has since been attempting to prove his innocence.
