Marvel's Luke Cage Season 2: Ranking Every Major Character From Worst To Best

2. Misty Knight

There's a fun, very meta joke in one episode this season when Luke says that he's not Misty's sidekick as this is his show. While it is true that it's called Luke Cage, though, it does often feel like the series would be more accurate if it was titled Misty Knight And Luke Cage.

While it's somewhat frustrating that the writers seem keen not to go down the Daughters of the Dragon route, Misty's arc in this season is possibly stronger than her journey in season 1. She begins the run as someone mourning the loss of their arm and wondering if she wants to be a cop anymore. She ends it, on the other hand, with a kickass bionic artificial limb and having been offered a major promotion to become captain of the Harlem precinct.

Simone Missick is excellent in the role and thanks to her all the police procedural stuff, which would otherwise be pretty rote and less interesting, becomes some of the most confident material in the show. Thankfully, she'll be back very soon in Iron Fist season 2.
