5. Sigourney Weaver Should Prove To Be Excellent Casting
A strong hero needs an equally strong villain, and that goes four times over for The Defenders. These characters are all super powerful on their own, so it's going to take a major foe to cause them to unite - a task made slightly harder by the fact it needs to remain a more grounded, street-level threat.
Enter Sigourney Weaver.
While we don't know a lot about her character, apart from the name Alexandra and the fact she's going to be a total badass, the casting of Weaver alone is cause to be excited.
After all, she's the actress behind an all-time great sci-fi/action protagonist, and while she may no longer be running around with a gun, she definitely has the presence and ability to play both charming and ice cold that should transfer well to being the Big Bad of the series.
