11. Madame Gao
Madame Gao has always been the best part of the Hand, and that doesn't really change in The Defenders. Sure, Alexandra and Elektra are the prime movers, but Gao is still the only character who actually sells us the idea of the Hand as a great threat. Wai Ching Ho's's quiet yet highly sinister performance manages to rise above the muddled plotting, even when she isn't given a great deal to do.

Plus, I don't think anyone is convinced that Gao actually died in that cave-in at the end of the season. She's bound to turn up in Daredevil or Iron Fist in the future.
