2. But A New War Will Come

Frank's biggest struggle is not having a war to fight - which means that a new one will undoubtedly come. The Punisher is not a peaceful character, and while he's not a vigilante in the sense of Daredevil, he'll almost certain;y be back on the streets when required.

There are various strands this could follow, from the rise of Jigsaw to the previously mentioned Gnucci family, but it could also just be a desire to do good and bring people to justice in his own unique, ultraviolent way.

We didn't actually see a lot of The Punisher as such in this season, with it very much serving as a Frank Castle story, and that means a Season 2 could well be much more of a typical Punisher story. He's got the relationship with Micro, they've got a stripped-back version of the battle van, and there are enough enemies still out there for a new fight to be required. Frank Castle has found a modicum of peace, but for The Punisher that can't and won't last.
