Marvel's Luke Cage Shows His Muscles In Comic-Con Poster
The man with unbreakable skin is coming to San Diego.
We're just a couple of days away from San Diego Comic-Con, and now we've got an early look at the poster for Luke Cage fans attending the event can expect to receive.
The poster (which you can check it in full below) has been designed by Marvel chief creative officer and comic book artist Joe Quesada, who said of the design (via TV Insider):
"You’ve got one shot to encapsulate a character with a pose that’s provocative and that you hope will someday be iconic.”
The poster is less focused on Colter's own take on the character, at least based on his appearances in Jessica Jones, and more in keeping with the traditional iconography of the character, especially with that black and yellow colour scheme that usually accompanies him.
Colter, however, has clearly brought a lot to the role, being a great part of Jessica Jones' superb debut season, which really ramped up excitement for his own series. Speaking of the man playing Luke Cage, Quesada said:
"Mike gives Luke a smouldering strength. He’s sexy and calming. And the ladies love it.”
San Diego Comic-Con takes place from 21-24 July. Luke Cage, meanwhile, will debut on Netflix on September 30.
