Undoubtedly one of the most talented composers working in Hollywood at the moment, Tyler Bates is most famous for his work on John Wick (a thematic relative of the Punisher, for sure) and Guardians of the Galaxy, although he might be known more widely for his involvement with Marilyn Manson as a lead guitarist.

John Wick gets a lot of credit for being a brilliant action film, but Bates' score rarely receives the attention it's due. Synthy, foreboding and heavy all at once, it's the perfect accompaniment for a one-man revenge spree - something Frank Castle just so happens to be in the business of doing.

He's the perfect guy for the job, really, and if the Punisher can conjure even half the brilliance of John Wick, then it's bound to be a success.
