23. Agent Orange

Though William Rawlins isn't the same character, there is an Agent Orange in the comics - he was a villainous SHIELD agent by the name of Roger Goshaw who appeared in n Captain America/Nick Fury: Blood Truce #1.

Rawlins meanwhile is also from the comics - debuting in issue #14 of Ennis’s Marvel Max Punisher series - who was a corrupt CIA agent hell-bent on destroying Frank, using mob resources and the CIA's assets to achieve his goal. He's very much tied to the issues of PTSD and the abuses of power behind military intervention that run through the season - which is perhaps why he was given the Agent Orange nickname too.

It's also pretty hard to ignore the Game Of Thrones reference in the way he's killed, as well as it being a reference to Frank gouging Rawlins' eye out in the comics...

In flashback, we know that Frank had previously already had a go at his eyes - punching him after an operation went south and blinding him.
