9. Marcus Alvarez

Marcus Alvarez has been a mainstay of the Sons/Mayans universe from day one, appearing in the original series premiere all the way back in 2008. That episode saw the Oakland charter of the Mayans - of which Alvarez was President - breaking into a warehouse to steal the Sons' guns, only to burn the whole thing down after. It was the first in a long line of conflicts with the Sons that even included the Mayans protecting Ethan Zobelle from the club.

Over the course of seven seasons, however, Alvarez's relationship with SAMCRO - albeit still rocky - improved, with even Tara at one point helping save his life after he was shot. Though problems in the final season of the show nearly fractured their dynamic all over again, Alvarez's sympathy over Tara's death strengthened the bond between the two clubs, something he was rewarded for when Jax - right before his death - helped him take up the gun business.

It was no surprise, then, that Alvarez has had a major role in Mayans M.C. to date, El Padrino having stood as a rock for the various Mayans throughout season one. At its conclusion, however, Alvarez left his position with the Mayans behind to be an advisor for Miguel Galindo, a role he loyally served throughout Season 2, a fact that makes his discovery of motorcycle tracks at the scene of Dita's "suicide" troublesome for his former club going forward.
