7. Blood Can't Sponsor Blood: How Will Angel React?

In Episode 9 of Mayans MC, EZ’s brother, Angel, discovers that EZ has been working as an informant to the DEA as part of a deal for early prison release. Homeland Security agent, Lincoln Potter, reveals the arrangement before offering the brothers a new one in exchange for overlooking a body found in the trunk of their car. (More on that later.)

Whilst Potter confirms that EZ’s deal gave his family and the MC immunity, Angel is still outraged about his brother lying to him. He tells EZ that once they’ve done their deed for the feds, he should turn in his cut, leave the MC and leave Santo Padre for betraying him. EZ agrees to the terms and the two get to work.

However, once the job is done, EZ approaches the MC, not to leave, but to ask that someone else sponsor him as a prospect, claiming family connections are causing complications with his brother. The club’s leader, Bishop, agrees to sponsor him in Angel’s place.

This leaves Angel in muddy water. Now that he’s worked with the police, he’s in just as much trouble if the club finds out. It’ll definitely be interesting to see where this plot goes in Season Two.
