MCU: 5 Things The Ghost Rider TV Show MUST Include
Robbie Reyes is set to blaze onto television. Here is what his new show MUST include.
After a lackluster third season, Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. managed to win back a good bit of the viewership with its fourth season, and a lot of that came form the addition of Robbie Reyes to the cast, otherwise known as the new Ghost Rider.
And it isn't hard to see why. AOS needed a good shakeup after the last really awesome shakeup in season 1, and especially after season 3 disappointed in returns. Adding in Ghost Rider was a great means of doing that, to the point that Robbie is now getting his own show on Hulu.
Now the only question is what to do with Robbie now that he's the headline act. His solo series ended after only 13 issues, so it's not like there are a ton of solo stories to choose from. While he's still kicking around (even forming a bromance with Ms. Marvel) this show needs something that truly capitalises on the character's premise.
Fortunately, the idea of Ghost Rider itself has been around long enough that Hulu have plenty of concepts to choose from.
It's been seven years since the Rider last graced the big screen, but with Gabriel Luna cementing Robbie Reyes as a true staple in Marvel's books, this new series could be the launchpad for the character to venture into bigger and better things.
5. Nicholas Cage As Johnny Blaze
Anything Ghost Rider related needs Nick Cage in there somewhere, it's the law of the land. The man is a massive Ghost Rider fan already, to the point that he'd probably do it for free if you asked him to.
It's a win-win to have him show up near the end of the first season for a team up with Robbie to take down a big bad guy. They don't have to acknowledge the Columbia movies - in fact the moviegoing public will thank them kindly for never acknowledging those train wrecks - but if they want to do the character of Johnny Blaze justice, then they need to get the Cage man.
The fact that we've gone so long without him in the MCU is bad enough already, and though many may not be enticed at the prospect of more Cage, there's no denying the man's a born entertainer.
