HBO screened the first 14 minutes of their new fantasy epic Game of Thrones last night, clearly as a way to distract U.S. viewers from the premieres of The Kennedys and The Borgias (both underwhelming shows, says our T.V. Editor Dan Owen) and the immensely watchable preview has now made it's way online and is embedded below. Based on the fantasy bestselling swords & magic series A Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin, the epic tale follows the violent dynastic struggles of an empire in turmoil and centers on a noble family whose patriarch (Sean Bean) is thrusted in as the kings new right-hand man. Lena Headey, Peter Dinklage and Iain Glen co-star in what is a huge ensemble supporting Bean. The full episode will air in two weeks...
