New Daredevil Season 2 Teaser Trailer Is Moody As Hell

There's also a synopsis, poster, and release date!

The first season of Daredevil, as we can all agree, was a resounding success. The plot, the characters, the acting, the tone, it all came together and made the show required viewing last year. If you haven't seen it yet, you're missing out on some of the best comic-to-screen adaptation work out there. The ridiculously hotly-anticipated second season, which will feature new screen adaptations of fan-favourite characters the Punisher and Elektra, is only a few scant months away - we now have confirmation that the series will debut on March 18th (one whole week before Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice), with the arrival of the first official Daredevil Season 2 teaser trailer. Check it out in all its moody, Catholic-guilt-drenched glory below.Although Netflix's marketing department lose points for majorly ripping off The Leftovers' first season opening titles, that was still one of the best teasers I've seen for anything in a while. Be sure to check out the brand new teaser poster below as well, which uses a familiar-looking skull to great effect, and features all the characters past and present. I'm particularly loving those smashed windows at the end of the teaser - Jon Bernthal's Punisher is a-coming! Bernthal is definitely going to reap a lot of praise, similar to how critics and fans all agreed that Vincent D'Onofrio's Wilson Fisk was the bench-setting standout of the first season, it seems obvious that Bernthal's intense take on the Punisher is going to do the same again here. As if the teaser trailer wasn't exciting enough, there's also a synopsis for the new season, which reiterates the big role Frank Castle is going to play in Hell's Kitchen:
"Just when Matt thinks he is bringing order back to the city, new forces are rising in Hell€™s Kitchen. Now the Man Without Fear must take on a new adversary in Frank Castle and face an old flame €“ Elektra Natchios. "Bigger problems emerge when Frank Castle, a man looking for vengeance, is reborn as The Punisher, a man who takes justice into his own hands in Matt€™s neighbourhood. Meanwhile, Matt must balance his duty to his community as a lawyer and his dangerous life as the Devil of Hell€™s Kitchen, facing a life-altering choice that forces him to truly understand what it means to be a hero."
Daredevil Season 2 will be released on Netflix on 18 March.
