I had a brief e-mail chat last week with the most well-respected and accurate Batman movie blogger on the web and he warned me of sites that have no story filtering department and that literally post every scoop that comes there way as if it were gospel. I would mention one of the sites in question but I don't want to give them any more hits than the obscene amount they have probably already generated from their false story. So let's be clear. The story that a Batman t.v. series is in development is false. Now WB might well have tentative plans to bring The Dark Knight to the small screen sometime in the future but the source that this particular site is using, doesn't know shit. Having said all this... a 20 episode series of hour-longs that existed outside of the movies, that would allow DC's best writers to utilise the whole of Gotham Central and Batman foes both original and classic and obscure, and adapt classic stories like The Long Halloween and Hush would be great. Batman suits the small screen medium.
