Traditionally, fairytale characters don't operate with a lot of forethought when it comes to making any kind of decision. When ABC debuted Once Upon a Time, its fairytale-centric TV show with a modern-day twist, there was some hope that some common sense could perhaps be inserted into these updated storybook tales. Unfortunately, the dual timelines established on the show both exhibit exorbitant amounts of disregard for thinking through ones actions, which leads to very convoluted story lines and family trees. You'd think that when the characters get transported to the non-magical world without their memories that they would at least make some logical decisions. But alas, they rarely do so. However, without these poor decision-making character traits, there would be no show for us to enjoy.

Although these terrible decisions lead to amazing stories and events, sometimes you just want to throw your remote at the screen to stop these fairytale characters from dooming themselves to a life of consequences.
