One of the biggest scraps thrown to the fans, starved of any season two knowledge, was the reveal of new faces in the upcoming season€™s teaser trailer. With a show like Orange, there needs to be a fluctuating cast. After all, in the first thirteen episodes one character died and another brooding favourite, Miss Claudette, was shipped down the hill to maximum security. A defining tenet of a prison-based drama is the influx of new inmates - it€™s inevitable. With specific cliques already established to the viewers, any new additions will keep things fresh, and invigorate any dwindling plot lines. One such newcomer confirmed in the trailer is Yvonne €œVee€ Parker (Lorraine Toussaint). An old adversary of Red€™s (€œA woman I knew a long time ago came back in yesterday€) she knows from way back Vee is either a returning inmate, or an acquaintance from the outside world. You could hazard a guess and say the pair of feisty convicts met prior to their incarceration as Vee was a drug dealer who used kids as runners. She seems eager for friction, another pic has her being threatened by Mendoza. Another segment of the preview reveals a line-up of new inmates undergoing what appears to be their intake into the prison, assisted by Morello. One cowering newbie admits €œThis is not how I imagined prison to be at all.€ Sounds like Chapman from season one...
