Predicting Marvel's MCU TV Shows
Who will star in Disney's new streaming service?
Well, it's finally happening. After months of waiting, figuring out the logistics and debating what would become of Marvel's Netflix TV shows, Disney is finally moving ahead with their streaming service, and with plans for various Marvel TV shows too.
According to Variety, these shows will be produced under the Marvel Studios umbrella and not Marvel TV, who liaise with Netflix and fall under the remit of Ike Perlmutter.
This is interesting for several reasons, not least because it illustrates the divide between these two branches of Marvel Entertainment, but also because it may allow Marvel to further integrate their cinematic properties with their network ones too; shows based on Tom Hiddlestone's Loki and Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch, as well as other "popular characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe", are said to be moving ahead - although who does and doesn't make the cut is still up in the air.
That doesn’t mean we can’t try our hand at predicting what shows are set to come though. While Marvel have plenty of Marvel characters at their disposal yet to enter the MCU, plenty more who’ve already made their debut are still waiting on ‘their moment’. Here’s who's most likely to get theirs.
