Ranking All 50 Game Of Thrones Episodes From Worst To Best

30. The Wars To Come (Season 5, Episode 1)

For the first time in Game Of Thrones history, there's a flashback. Is this Lost? The first flash goes to Cersei when she was a little girl being cursed by Maggy the Frog. This might open the floodgates for future flashbacks, and maybe even a Better Call Saul-like prequel spinoff where they could portray Robert€™s Rebellion in full (hopefully). In addition, Tyrion Lannister is freed from his confinements, and teaches everyone about the art of shoving your own faeces through a hole. Anyway, the end of the episode is a pretty striking departure from the books, because it involves the death of Mance Rayder, where in the books he€™s still very much alive. It seems unlikely he will return for the show, baring some excellent subterfuge, so it was a shame to see such a great character leave.
