UKTV have gone ahead and released the first publicity shot for the upcoming tenth series of Red Dwarf, giving fans just a slight taster of what we can expect from the much-anticipated return of a 90's favourite. Running through our checklist lets see if the boys are up to par: Cats crazy hairstyle and outrageous suits.... CheckRimmer is still a Hologram... CheckListers custard stained t-shirt... CheckKrytens stupidly shaped head.... Check Holly's... Wait, no Holly? That's a load of Tottenham, that is. A steaming pile of Hotspur. Can it really be true that the crimson short one with an IQ relevant to 6000 PE teachers is absent from the series. Dwarf fans around the globe shall be praying to their Holly Hop Drives in the masses. Thankfully though, the shot of the boys isn't of them sitting in the Rovers having a few swift ones, or even in the bowels of Red Dwarf locked within the confines of a cell. By the looks of things the boys could very well be back in a redesigned Starbug. Has Lister gone and mis-parked the Dwarf again? And it also seems as though they have done away with the smart shiny overalls and clean, sparkling sets in exchange for a more grubbier Red Dwarf. Which is good news for long time fans who disliked the cleanliness of the newer series and felt that the polished CGI models and backdrops took away from what originally was a subtle yet iconic part of the show. Obviously this is all going from just the one single promotional teaser we've been given, but fans have been very vocal of what they want back in Red Dwarf and here's hoping they haven't let us down. Red Dwarf X is due to air in the Autumn later this year.
