10. Claw And Hoarder: Special Ricktim's Morty

Thanks to Rick’s ability to travel through space, and across any number of different realities and dimensions, the possibilities for the show’s stories are literally limitless. Rick and Morty could have done great things with a dragon storyline, but instead became a terrible narrative surrounding jealousy and slut-shaming.

After asking Rick to get him a dragon, Morty found himself jealous of his grandfather's bond with his new pet. The wizard that sold the beast then returned to punish it for being a slut, before the episode delved into the bizarre world of dragon sex.

Not only was this the worst episode of the season, it was easily the worst episode of Rick and Morty, period. The main story with Liam Cunningham as Balthromar was simply not smart or funny despite the excellent guest star, and Jerry’s journey to Florida and beyond with Matthew Broderick as a talking cat was even less so, despite the excellent guest star.

So bad was this episode, that the show even went on to reference what a mistake the story was later in the same season. Worst adventure ever indeed.
