Rick And Morty Season 3: Every Episode Ranked From Worst To Best
10. Vindicators 3: Return Of The Worldender
Receiving a literal call to adventure from a club of superheroes named the Vindicators, Rick is dragged on a quest to save the galaxy by his starry-eyed grandson Morty. But, because Rick is an old man who doesn’t share the same adoration as everyone else for recycled superheroes, he singlehandedly murders the Vindicators’ greatest enemy while drunk and traps the protectors of the galaxy in a game of Saw.
Clearly a Guardians Of The Galaxy spoof, the Vindicators are a barebones and boring parody, who missed the opportunity to mock how James Gunn’s formulaic movies brainwash audiences into having fun and wanting to buy dozens of toys with upbeat music and one-liner mascots.
If it had a subplot with Beth, Jerry, and Summer - like almost all the episodes from season 1 and 2 - Rick And Morty’s repeated and already done before commentary about all superhero blockbusters being identical may not have been as excruciatingly dull and one-dimensional.
Showing why Morty should never be allowed to choose the adventure they embark on, The Return Of The Worldender is an episode which will only be remembered for the adorable Noob-Noob.
