10. Space Ship

Some of the inventions and gadgets on this list are so specifically designed, and so off-the-wall crazy that you find yourself asking how anyone would even come up with such a thing. By comparison however, a space ship seems almost rather average and unexciting in Rick and Morty's world.

Yet, this is a fully functioning space ship that can reliably carry the titular heroes and the rest of the Smith family across the galaxy, and even has a sentient, intelligent programme that can protect the driver in both violent and non-violent ways, and is capable of diplomacy between humans and spiders.

One of the most impressive things about the space ship is that Rick built it out of things he found lying around the garage. Very little thought went into it, and he may well have been blackout drunk at the time, yet still he managed to make a perfectly functioning ship from the scraps he couldn't find any other use for.

Throughout the series, this invention is used so often that it becomes a standard part of any Rick and Morty adventure. However, without it, there wouldn't even be a show at all, and the fact that it seems like a mundane mode of transport for Rick almost makes it even more impressive.
