10. Rose Blossom

Audience members constantly express their desire to see the supernatural at work in the show. Rose Blossom, the creepy grandmother of Cheryl, helps showcase the allure of a mystical presence with her unforgettable appearances.

With her trademark streak of crimson hair, Rose meanders around Thornhill and inadvertently dispenses information to passers-by. She emerges from the shadows to search Betty's hand for the Blossom family's engagement ring. Rose believes she's Polly and wonders aloud why the ring isn't on her finger. The spooky gesture confirms that Jason had every intention of running off with Polly, an account that Jughead and Betty questioned up until then. This could've been revealed in a less enticing manner but Rose's eerie activity makes it twice as thrilling for viewers.

Rose also deserves credit for her unique treatment of Polly. Along with Cheryl, she's the only other Blossom who demonstrates true concern for Jason's former fiancee. Luckily for paranormal-hungry fans, she displays her warmth in darker ways. Rose uses her gypsy blood and magical pendant to predict the gender of Polly's twins. In comparison to most of the Blossoms, Rose stands out as a likable exception. She may suffer from dementia but her empathy remains intact.

As season two approaches, fans are still keeping tabs on the cryptic Blossom matriarch. Her absence in the final episode even instigated another mystery for viewers to ponder: her whereabouts in the finale house fire. For a minor character, she makes quite the impression.
