Riverdale: 8 Biggest Questions We Have For Season 4
8. Is The Black Hood Really Dead?
Perhaps the second-most shocking moment of the Season 3 finale came when Penelope Blossom picked up a gun and nonchalantly shot lover and accomplice Hal Cooper in the head. It was a moment that solidified herself as Riverdale's new Big Bad as she officially ended the Black Hood's reign of terror.
That being said, is he really dead? Yes, Betty's heartbroken expression sure made the whole thing look quite final as it played out in slow motion, but that doesn't change the fact that we didn't see it... and, in Riverdale, even the slightest bit of ambiguity means that there is a chance.
Look, nobody wants more of the Black Hood - the serial killer's unnecessarily dragged-out arc made Season 2 quite the slog to get through and ended up leaving viewers baffled (and not in the way it should have). That being said, nobody wanted more of the Black Hood last season, and that didn't stop the writers from gifting us with another multi-episode arc of his murderous and contrived antics.
Are we destined to endure it all over again next season?
